(Our idea has changed slightly. For example, we are only having one performer, and our locations are different. We will be using the forest instead of a nightclub).

Music Video Song: Do I Wanna Know?
Music Video ideas:
UPDATED IDEAS

The character, Jack Wilson, will be sitting down in a dark corridor. The shot will be in black and white. Lights flickering and not much going on. He’s holding his phone, looking at a set of text messages. The messages slowly reveal to be a break up, with messages like “IT’S OVER” or “Leave me alone”. The photo is the only thing in colour in the shot at this point in the video. The camera will track and pan around him, showing the photo. He puts in his earphones, the music starts to play. The camera then slowly pans into the photo, which shows a scene where they’re happy as a couple. The shot then pans back out of the photo and Jack is now walking through the corridor. Jack’s still holding the photo, and looking at it.

The College is a POW camp for sadness and moving on
Wardens patrol the college of sadness
They chase him during the chorus

Groundhog Day Theory/Doctor Who Hell Bent looping idea
He’s trying to escape the corridor/college. Every Time he starts to walk, he always ends up back in the corridor. Starts the video looking distort. Everytime he goes around a  corner, he ends up back. Or when he goes down a stairs, he ends up back in the corridor. He can’t leave the college.

OLD PLAN

Jack’s sits or is waiting at a graveyard, (looking at either the girlfriends grave or a grave that represents the relationship.) While sitting on a bench, or sitting on the ground. He has a photo that he carries, it’s wrinkled and old. It’s a photo of him and his girlfriend. He has earphone plugged in. The music starts to play. He puts his phone in his pocket, puts in earphones, and the music plays in full. He then walks away in time with the beat.

I’m not keen on the idea of the earphones things. I personally don’t think it will work well with the rest of the song. Instead, why can’t it just be a picture of the two that he is looking at whilst sitting on the floor at the end of the grave. It would be a lot easier to film and make quite a lot more sense in my opinion. Then towards the end of the music video, it can simply be a shot of him dropping the photo and walking away. That way showing that he finally over the relationship.

  • Main Plot

The character, Jack Wilson, will be sitting down in a dark corridor. The shot will be in black and white. Lights flickering and not much going on. He’s holding a old ruffled up photo of him and a girl, presumably his girlfriend, called Anna. The photo is the only thing in colour in the shot at this point in the video. He has earphones dangling out of his hoodie.

Jack Wilson gets to the nightclub, and see’s a band playing. He walks up through the crowd to get closer to the stage. He takes off his hoodie and looks up at the bass player, who is a Anna. She recognises him and slowly stares. Then puts the bass down and walks off stage

They go outside. Could be raining. He follows Anna outside. She shouts (inaudibly), she starts to shove him, and with every time she hits him and pushes him away, a bright flash happens and he sees the different happy memories. Contrasting between what he wants to think and the reality. She wants him to leave her alone, but he still thinks they’re in love, each time he gets hit he remembers a happy memory from earlier in the video. She keeps pushing him, each hit flashes, remembering happy memories, cutting back to them arguing in the rain. Then the last time she pushes, he cuts to being pushed onto the ground in the corridor again. The lights then slowly flicker off.
